Position As a Specialist Paediatrician you will provide high-quality paediatric services and patient management in an efficient manner. Your key duties include specialist cover for the Paediatric Units, the emergency and elective services. You will be required to work in harmony with the midwifery and nursing staff and participate in an on call roster. You will participate in outreach services and Telehealth services to rural and remote communities. Furthermore you will supervise junior medical staff and graduates.   Hospital    You will be working at an innovative and dynamic health service that has a range of facilities to provide the best care for their patients, including two acute hospitals, three district hospitals and seven community health centres. The main acute hospital is a 160 bed accredited teaching hospital with an attached rural clinical school and a 70 bed private facility. The second acute hospital is located 60kms away and is a 130 bed community hospital. The health service provides high quality health care and specialist services to a combined catchment area of 100,000 people.   The two hospitals both have very busy emergency departments, obstetric and gynaecology services.
