== The Position == As a  Specialist ENT Surgeon you will provide quality specialist and subspecialty medical services in line with the Director of Medical Services. Your clinical activities will include operating in the theatre and the day procedure unit. You will participate in an on call roster for emergencies and also take part in weekly rounds. In this role you will also supervise the clinical work of the junior medical staff in the Unit.   The Hospital    You will be joining the largest healthcare employer in the region, employing over 2000 employees. The hospital is a 300-bed public hospital and provides a comprehensive range of acute care facilities to approximately 250,000 people in the region. Annually the hospital treats over 24,000 inpatients and over 225,000 outpatients.  Having recently undergone a redevelopment the hospital offers contemporary and functional facilities including excellent staff amenities. The hospital is also an accredited teaching hospital with strong links to local universities. As such there is a strong focus on teaching and research.   You will be part of a supportive and welcoming team in a department that is going from strength to strength. The Emergency Department itself receives on average 45,000 cases a year with all types of patient presentations including major trauma and 20% paediatric cases.
