== The Position == Working closely with the Director you will be responsible for providing a high quality of clinical services to patients within the department. This includes providing anaesthesia across orthopaedic, trauma, general, gynaecological, obstetric, paediatric, ENT, dental, ECT and endoscopic procedures. The role also encompasses standard duties such as pre-operative assessment and early post-operative care of patients and management of anaesthesia during procedure. In addition to this, you will also support the trauma and cardiac arrest team, and provide preassessment clinic, an acute pain service and obstetric epidural service.  The role does also include after hours and weekend clinical duties as rostered. As an accredited training facility, this role would suit someone with an interest in passing on their knowledge and experience. You will supervise and teach junior medical staff and colleagues to the best of your ability.  You will also be expected to complete administrative duties and actively participate in audits, research, ethics and safety.  The Health Service This QLD Health Service hosts a diverse range of services aimed at improving the health of the region's population of around 182,000 people over 13 sites within the region. The health service provides an integrated approach to service delivery across acute, primary health and other community-based services including aged care assessment, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) programs.  The appointment is based in a state-of-the-art facility which was redeveloped in late 2014 increasing the number of beds to 318. The redevelopment included a new emergency department, outpatients department, delivery suites and special care nursery, intensive care unit and coronary care unit, day surgery and operating theatre suite, inpatient surgical and medical wards, renal support services, dental, allied health and mental health facilities. ?
