== The Position == As Specialist Paediatrician you will be joining a busy department on a 6 month contract comprising of 8 FTE Paediatricians, 3.5 FTE Paediatric Surgeons, and 5 FTE Neonatologists. You will also be provided with significant junior support and be required to participate in the on call. This 0.5 FTE position you will provide high-quality general paediatric services to a department that can accommodate up to 50 inpatients along with a bustling outpatient department. The department has a FRACP training program with a paediatric fellow, 10 registrars, 4 SRMO positions and 5 Resident positions. Along with this, the hospital has a community program and forensic health program where you will also have some engagement with the doctors in the programs. The Hospital You will be working in a hospital that is the only paediatric tertiary teaching hospital for the state and surrounding regions. It consists of 600 beds providing most major medical and surgical sub-specialty services. The Paediatric department houses an active medical and surgical day stay and clinical investigation unit along with a busy and growing outpatient department. It offers sub-specialty Paediatric care in areas of Paediatric Respiratory Medicine, Paediatric Nephrology, Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes. The Paediatric Surgical Unit that performs a wide range of paediatric and neonatal surgery and is an accredited paediatric surgical training centre. == The Location == Be a part of a vibrant and diplomatic community in this city full of academic, artistic and cultural pursuits.
