== The Position == An exciting permanent opportunity has become available for a Senior Specialist Paediatrician. In this role you will manage the diagnosis, treatment and discharge planning for inpatients, as well as conducting outpatient clinics, thus ensuring a safe and effective continuum of care. Utilising your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, you will contribute to the education and training of all members of the multidisciplinary clinical team and participate in the training of junior medical staff. This dynamic role will also allow you the opportunity to expand your research in areas of interest as related to the clinical practice or science of Paediatrics. Utilizing your strong clinical skillset and experience, you will also be expected to contribute to the clinical governance of the Hospital and Unit, as well as contribute to the strategic direction and service delivery initiatives of the Unit.  The Hospital This modern 600-bed hospital is renowned for its values-driven approach to service delivery. The hospital provides acute, sub-acute, primary and community-based health services to the Territory and surrounding region. Timely access to acute service delivery is a key strategic priority for the hospital to ensure access to a safe and an effective continuum of care.  The Division of Women, Youth and Children delivers primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare services. The Division emphasizes a family-centred, multidisciplinary approach to care in partnership with its clients and other service providers.   The Paediatric Department may cater up to 50 inpatients, with a dynamic medical and surgical day stay, clinical investigation unit, and outpatient department.
