== The Position == An opportunity exists for a Specialist Paediatrician to join a premier private hospital in regional QLD.  In this full-time role you will provide high-quality general paediatric services. The workload is predominantly ambulatory and includes neonatal support for Obstetricians. The ambulatory work is interesting, 30% of the patient load is developmental/behavioural and the remainder provides a highly varied clinical experience. Whilst the patients are typically low risk infants, you are required to have excellent neonatal skills.  The support and collegiality of the existing paediatrician workforce is guaranteed and there is room to develop your own area of specialist interest. The on-call roster is currently 1:5 shared between the public and private paediatricians. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to provide outreach clinics and Tele-health services to those in outlying areas. The Hospital You will be working in a beautiful heritage-listed 140 bed private hospital. Services include: general surgery, general medicine, orthopaedics, urology, oncology and palliative care, coronary/high dependency care, obstetrics and gynaecology, neonatal intensive care, gastroenterology, day surgery, sleep disorders unit, paediatrics, after hours medical service, rehabilitation, radiology and, visiting specialists clinics.  There are over 700, mainly low risk, deliveries annually.
