== The Position == This opportunity is for an ICU Career Medical Officer to join a long standing team of other CMO?s, in a leading private hospital. With == The Position == beginning in the wards until confidence and knowledge of the hospital is built, the role will then primarily be based within the Intensive Care Unit itself. As a Career Medical officer you will deliver medical services to inpatients in the absence of Admitting medical officers, and you will be confident in your abilities to lead on this care. In the intensive care unit you will have the opportunity to gain dynamic experience and strong skills in intubation will be needed. You will have at least 12 months of recent ICU experience and you will not be looking to progress with fellowship training at this stage or in the future stages of your career. Whilst working as a General ward CMO your first experience in the ICU will be at Registrar level as you familiarise yourself with the health service. The Hospital This modern private hospital is situated in a stunning location. It offers services across a variety of specialties, including Emergency Medicine, Maternity, Paediatrics and Surgery. The Intensive care unit itself receives approximately 1,200 presentations per year and offers multidisciplinary services across 30 beds. It is a Level 3 facility which mainly offers services across general surgery and medical patients. It is a light, airy and spacious department with state-of-the-art technology including the use of computers to log all medicals notes and to access medical history and records at ease. == The Location == Located just a 40 minute drive in to the CBD and near the beautiful northern beaches, this Sydney location offers a lot to be desired.
