== The Practice == This, well-established and highly regarded practice is looking for a flexible, empathetic and driven GP to take over an existing patient base and join a team of dedicated health professionals. You will be fully booked in no time with great opportunity to earn well through engaging in the on-call roster. You will work alongside four other GPs plus visiting specialists with the support of five caring registered nurses, four professional receptionists, one highly experienced practice manager and IT support. Experience in emergency medicine is essential in this community role and experience working in a regional practice is highly desirable. This AGPAL accredited mixed billing practice offers its patients onsite pathology for ease of access, as well as the community’s Accident and Emergency Unit, serviced by the practice's doctors and nursing staff on a roster. This ensures your shifts always remain interesting, each of the doctors at the centre also benefit from admission rights to the nearest hospital. A teaching and research focus is also encouraged with a strong relationship with the University of Adelaide. The practice is involved in the teaching of rural orientated general practice to medical students and has been involved in a number of research projects. The Practice opening hours are 8:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday, with full and part-time opportunities available and one-in-three rostered emergency on-call duties. The emergency area is fully equipped, including a procedural area. The town is close to coastal areas which are approximately 25 kilometres away to both the east & west. Coastal towns within this region are noted for their excellent fishing from the beach or jetty or by boat. The main industry in the district is livestock farming (cattle & sheep) & crop growing (wheat). The town is well serviced with sporting facilities including a sporting club & 18-hole golf course. Other sports on offer include tennis, hockey, basketball, netball, football, indoor soccer, table tennis, polocrosse, cricket and bowls.
