== The Position == An exciting opportunity is available for an Emergency Medicine Senior Medical Officer to join the existing, dedicated team. Reporting in to the Director of Emergency Medicine, you will be able to provide a high quality of clinical care to patients whilst also supervising the junior members of the team. The Hospital The health service serves a regional catchment population of approximately 45,000 and is going through the process of a major $65m development. Services on offer include medical, surgical, rehabilitation, paediatrics chemotherapy and more. As for the Emergency Department it sees approximately 20,000 presentations per annum. The population swells during peak holiday periods and services provided by the hospital are often extended to the many visitors to the area. Location With its warm Mediterranean climate, affordable housing and great choice of schools this town is an ideal place for families. It caters to those with an interest in sporting and leisure activities, including fishing, golfing, camping and enjoying fine food and wine. == Essential Criteria == To be successful in applying for this position you must ideally hold registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Alternatively, you will be eligible for registration and have experience from a comparable health care system such as the UK or Ireland. With the ability to work independently, you will be able to share your knowledge with junior members of the team.
