As an Emergency Medicine Registrar you will join a well renowned service to provide outstanding care and service throughout the department. With the assistance and guidance of Senior Medical Staff and Advanced Registrars, you will gain exposure to varied presentations including an increased number of trauma cases due to the nearby rural industry, higher speed limit on roads and increasing tourist volumes. You will attend to patients in order of urgency and assist with taking a complete history and medical examination of new medical admissions as well as assist in arranging the appropriate investigation and care.
As the biggest hospital and healthcare complex in regional Western Australia, services are offered in all major medical specialities including General and Respiratory Medicine, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Obstetrics and Gynaecology. As for the Emergency Department, recent redevelopment has led to it becoming the largest department in the hospital and the biggest Emergency Department in Western Australia, outside of Perth. It is open 24-hours a day, 7 days a week with an average of 40,000 presentations per year.

To be eligible for this position you must have AHPRA registration or be eligible for registration with experience from a comparable healthcare system such as New Zealand, the UK, Ireland, Canada or USA.
