== The Position == Wavelength currently holds an exciting opportunity for an Emergency Medicine Career Medical Officer based in regional New South Wales. As a department with no registrars, you will be confident in your skills and ability to work independently but will also be able to provide assistance and support to interns and RMO?s. You will participate in a full roster which will include morning, evening and night shifts whilst receiving an award rate salary with CPD allowances. You will enjoy a nice working environment in a department that is not overly busy but provides support to the local mining community. The Hospital This rural teaching facility has 108 beds and offers a broad range of services including general medical, surgical and specialist services. A completely new facility was built and opened in 2000 after the receipt of $32 million in funding. More recently, $6.6 million was assigned to the completion of a brand new 10 bed mental health facility. The hospital offers services such as Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Dialysis, Palliative Care and surgery. Furthermore, support services such as Radiology and Pathology are located on site. The Emergency department sees approximately 20,500 presentations per year, with 7,285 patients admitted to the hospital during the same period. == The Location == Located in the far west of New South Wales this rural location holds more than first meets the eye. You will hold registration with the Medical Board of Australia or be eligible for registration with experience from a comparable country.
