The health service provides psychiatric services across Child and Adolescent; Adult Community; Inpatient and Extended Treatment; and Older Person. The hospital is one of the largest of all the Tasmanian state agencies and provides more than 1.5 million occasions of service annually to clients.
The Location
Known as the ‘Island of Inspiration’, Tasmania is a place of wild and beautiful landscapes; friendly, welcoming community; wonderful food and wine; and a pleasant temperate climate, where you can experience a truly relaxed and idyllic lifestyle.
Your new home town is not only renowned for its relaxing atmosphere but also delicious food and drink, particularly its cheeses. The lush green pastures contribute towards making the very best milk for cheese production, particularly the world famous Camembert, and as such the town has earned a gourmet reputation. Local distilled whisky can also be enjoyed. There are many spectacular walking trails and hikes in the area, to help you work up the appetite you’ll need to enjoy such delicious local produce.
With Tasmania's pristine wilderness on your doorstep and Melbourne only an hour's flight away, you can experience the best of both regional and city living, and can enjoy the type of charming lifestyle others only dream of.
