== The Position == Wavelength is currently recruiting a Consultant Anaesthetist for a full-time opportunity in Victoria. As a passionate team player, you will be joining a small and dedicated team of 2 full time consultants and 1.2 GP Anaesthetists. You will complete approximately 12 sessions per week with cover across an on call and after-hours roster as required. You will work across the perioperative ward supporting three theatres with an adjoining day procedure unit, with plans underway to build a fourth theatre to support orthopaedic surgeries. Additionally, you will also cover preadmission clinics and provide support to ICU, CCU, Emergency codes and MET calls. You will be provided opportunity to pursue academic interests with a major university clinical school on site, whilst assisting in the supervision and education of medical students and junior colleagues The Hospital This regional hospital has 74 beds and services a catchment population of approximately 85,000. The facility offers a range of surgical services across the specialty areas of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Urology and General Surgery. Additionally, a range of Allied Health services are available including on site pathology and medical imaging, Oncology, Haematology, dialysis, aged care and rehabilitation facilities.
