== The Position == An exciting opportunity has become available on the south-east coast of Queensland. As an experienced Child and Youth Consultant Psychiatrist, your primary clinical work will be provided within a community based setting. As the sole Child and Youth Consultant you will be working with an excellent multidisciplinary team and have strong psychiatry registrar support.     You will be required to participate in the after-hours on call roster for the General Adult.    Known as a friendly place to work and well supported, this is a wonderful place to join with a great culture. The Hospital In recent years the Hospital has undergone a major redevelopment totalling in excess of $50 million. The redevelopment has delivered new beds, improved services in the rehabilitation unit, as well as a new emergency department, maternity unit and special care nursery.   Services available include intensive care, coronary care, obstetrics, gynaecology, paediatrics, orthopaedic surgery, general surgery, vascular surgery, 24-hour emergency medicine, pharmacy, medical imaging, pathology and comprehensive mental health services. Allied Health services include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, speech therapy, psychology and social work. == The Location == Located at the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef with access to coral islands and scuba diving, this is a great place for getting close to nature and to relax, swim, snorkel or dive. Just 15kms out of the city lays a beach famous for having the largest concentration of nesting marine turtles on the eastern Australian mainland. Salary Remuneration value up to $392,483 p.a., comprising salary between $171,044 - $216,865 p.a. (L18?L27), motor vehicle allowance, professional development allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., professional indemnity cover and private practice arrangements. Overtime and on-call allowances will be negotiated with the successful applicant upon appointment.
