The Position

The Staff Specialist Surgeon reports to the Director of Surgery, and is responsible, in collaboration with the Director of Surgery, to provide clinical care to patients and clinically manage, on a day-to-day basis, the associated multidisciplinary patient care team to ensure the provision of appropriate patient care, delivered to the highest professional and ethical standards.

Essential criteria

• Current registration with or/eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).

• The applicant will hold Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgery (FRACS)

• Eligible health workers who move to Queensland from interstate or international jurisdictions to take up permanent employment in locations designated MM4-7 may receive up to $70,000 in incentive payments
