The Position
Working alongside a team of dedicated health care professionals, this is an exciting opportunity to take your career to the next level. You will spend most of your time at the Mental Health Centre within the hospital, working in the Older Persons Mental Health Unit. Working in an acute mental health inpatient setting and community mental health settings, you will provide exceptional specialist care to each of your patients. The role is exciting and unique as it is a medical leadership position that plays a pivotal role in supporting medical staff and the development of the older persons mental health services. All hospitals provide a range of both in-patient and outpatient services to patients from within the district boundaries as well as beyond. The hospital provides high-level inpatient services, generally with the capacity to manage high complexity patients requiring specialist care, such as emergency, critical care, acute medicine, planned and emergency surgery, maternity, neonatal, paediatric medicine and minor surgery, mental health, aged care and rehabilitation services, drug and alcohol and a broad range of specialist outpatient clinics and services.

Essential Criteria
Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP- or equivalent) and current registration or eligibility for registration with the Australian Medical Board.
