The Position

There is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated Intensive Care specialist to join the team at a large regional hospital. The team is looking for a specialist that takes a patient-centred approach and is committed to providing quality care. You will be joining the team at an exciting time as the hospital is in a growth phase, providing the opportunity to grow with the team. The hospital is open to Newly qualified fellows to apply and is providing a supportive and nurturing work environment.

The Hospital

The state-of-the-art hospital is a large regional hospital that services 10 rural hospitals and multi-purpose health facilities across the region. This 236-bed hospital is undergoing an exciting period of growth with a redevelopment plan to provide additional inpatient beds and further outpatient and support services. The Intensive Care Unit provides 16 intensive care beds to adult and paediatric patients, in addition to providing a range of Intensive Care Outreach Services. The ICU admits over 800 acute admissions annually, including 50-60 paediatric patients and an additional 100 elective procedural admissions. You will be joining a supportive hospital that is committed to providing exceptional healthcare to the local community and surrounding regions.

Essential Criteria

To be successful in applying for this position you will hold Fellowship or eligibility for Fellowship of the College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand and relevant General/Specialist registration with AHPRA.
