The Position
A large metropolitan health service is looking for registrars to join a multidisciplinary team in the Emergency Department across two south Melbourne hospitals. This is an excellent opportunity to further your career in Emergency Medicine and learn from a team of experienced consultants. You will have the support and guidance of specialists within the field, providing you confidence to further your skills and knowledge. The hospital is looking for someone who can communicate clearly and accurately with patients and colleagues, with the opportunity to further develop your communication skills in difficult situations. You will collaborate with other staff members and act as a positive role model to more junior staff.
The Hospital
Joining a large metropolitan hospital and part of a broader health network, this health service provides a wide range of services from obstetrics to aged care, rehabilitation, emergency and intensive care, oncology, surgical and general medicine. In addition to providing quality, accessible health care services, this is a teaching hospital with a history of contributing to medical research.
The Emergency Department sees over 75,000 patients per year, with 40 Emergency Medicine consultants working within the department.

Essential Criteria
Applicants must hold or be eligible for General registration with the Australian Medical Board, be at least PGY3 level or above and must have previous emergency medicine experience.
Minimum of 4 months Emergency experience at PGY2 level is required.
