| Conditions: | Department Information: The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is a small, but busy, clinical unit with about 700-750 deliveries annually. About 60 per cent of women delivering at the hospital are Aboriginal the delivery rates do not truly reflect the clinical workload. The case mix is varied and includes a high pre-term delivery rate and serious maternal morbidity with infectious diseases, diabetes mellitus, renal disease and rheumatic heart disease. The department is a teaching unit for medical students from the Northern Territory Clinical School, affiliated with Flinders University of South Australia. Locum Dates: 0800 Monday the 6th of May 2024 to 5.30pm Friday the 24th of May 2024. 0800 Monday the 1st of July to 5.30pm Friday the 2nd of August 2024 0800 Monday the 30th of September 2024 to 5.30pm Friday the 25th of October 2024. 0800 Monday the 11th of November 2024 to 5.30pm Friday the 15th of November 2024. 0800 Monday the 2nd of December 2024 to 5.30pm Friday the 13th of December 2024. Locum Rate: $2500 per working day – negotiable plus travel and accommodation |
