The Position

As a Histopathologist, you will play a vital role in diagnosing diseases by conducting microscopic examinations of tissue specimens. Your responsibilities will include analysing, interpreting, and documenting histological findings, preparing detailed clinical reports, and employing a range of diagnostic techniques such as immunochemistry, electron microscopy, and molecular testing. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, providing expert advice and mentoring junior staff. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate specimen identification and tracking, participating in quality assurance programs, and contributing to the development and implementation of new diagnostic techniques to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the laboratory.

As a Histopathologist at this laboratory, you will enjoy a competitive salary package of $350,000 to $450,000 (depending on experience) and a range of attractive benefits. Essential Criteria

- Current or eligible to be registered with AHPRA as a Specialist Pathologist and Fellowship with the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA) or equivalent

- Min. 2-5 years post Fellowship experience with a special interest in Histopathology and/or Dermatopathology, along with strong technical, procedural and diagnostic skills
