Histopathologist or Dermatopathologist

Permanent full time opportunity in Sydney for an experienced Pathologist with a special interest in Histopathology and/or Dermatopathology.

$350k-$450k total package (depending on exp)

About The Role

- Performing microscopic examination of tissue specimens to identify and diagnose diseases, including cancers, infections, and other abnormalities

- Analysing, interpreting and documenting histological findings, preparing detailed clinical reports, and employing a range of diagnostic techniques, including immunochemistry, electron microscopy, and molecular testing to further investigate and confirm diagnoses

- Collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to discuss patient cases, giving expert advice/recommendations, and supervising/mentoring team members, providing guidance/support as needed

- Ensuring accurate/complete specimen identification, tracking and documentation, participating in quality assurance programs, and assisting in the development and implementation of new diagnostic techniques/protocols to enhance the accuracy and efficiency

About You

- Current or eligible to be registered with AHPRA as a Specialist Pathologist and Fellowship with the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA) or equivalent

- Min. 2-5 years post Fellowship experience with a special interest in Histopathology and/or Dermatopathology, along with strong technical, procedural and diagnostic skills

- Excellent analytical skills to analyse complex specimens and reach accurate diagnoses, and the ability to author clinical reports and effectively communicate diagnostic findings and provide expert advice

- Team player, with excellent prioritisation to manage multiple cases simultaneously and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical issues quickly
