The Practice

With growing demand within the local community and one of their GPs retiring, this mixed-billing practice needs a doctor to take over the patient load and hit the ground running. The practice is home to one other GP that brings over 30 years of experience as a country doctor and has an interest in women’s health, mental health, teaching registrars and chronic disease management. You will be working alongside a highly experienced doctor that has been operating in the local community for years. The practice is currently in a growth phase and is looking to create a team of doctors. The practice is looking to expand and open up two sister clinics, with a focus on ensuring they meet current patient demand and provide the local community with access to much needed healthcare.

This historic building features four consult rooms, one treatment room as well as a staff room and kitchen area for you to relax on your breaks. Situated in a central location, you will be working within walking distance to a range of amenities as well as a pharmacy and hospital located close by. There is staff parking, ensuring an easy commute to work each day.

Not only will you work alongside an experienced GP, but you will also have the support of a dedicated full-time nurse as well as three friendly receptionists. Work-life balance is on the cards with family friendly hours of 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday. There is no on-call or weekend work, allowing you to truly unwind and relax on your days off.

The Location

This practice is in a town that is only an hour south of Ballina and 1.5 hours’ drive from the vibrant Byron Bay. Northern New South Wales offers a sparkling coastline of endless beaches with surfing, whale-watching, frolicking dolphins and flocks of seabirds. Inspiring surroundings attract creative personalities, artists, writers, and musicians. Colourful local festivals brim with arts and crafts, kites, crystals, and local produce. Take a horseback tour or dine on the waterfront on fresh seafood and locally grown fruit accompanied by crisp white wine. Rich volcanic soils produce macadamia nuts, exotic fruits, aromatic coffee, tea, pure milk and excellent wine.

The town has seen rapid growth and is becoming an increasingly popular area to settle and call home. There are both private and public schooling options within the area, making this a family friendly location. There are two airports within 40 mins of the town, making this a highly accessible location.
