About The Role

- Providing exceptional level of patient-centred medical care in various areas including Men’s & Women’s, Mental Health, Sexual Health, Aviation & Underwater Medicine and Minor Procedures

- Conducting aviation or underwater medical checks using hyperbaric chambers, assessing fitness to fly or dive and ongoing health management of crew members (Aviation & Underwater Medicine training provided)

- Responding to medical emergencies and referring patients on to other onsite services or externally for Specialist Care, Optical, Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology, Pathology and/or Occupational Rehab services

- Providing ongoing medical advice to Unit Commanders and Health Centre Managers, and keeping accurate patient records on the online health platform

About The Location

Based in Campbell, the ADF ACT Health Centre (opened in mid-2021) is a modern, well-equipped/resourced facility, providing holistic and best practice health care to over 6,700 ADF personnel in ACT and surrounding NSW region. Staffed with over 185 medical and healthcare professionals, the Health Centre standard operating hours are 0700-1900, Mondays to Fridays, and delivers integrated Primary Care, Nursing, Dental, Physiotherapy, Mental Health and Pharmacy services, as well as an 18-bed inpatient low dependency ward that operates 24/7.

About You

- Holds full General Registration with AHPRA, and Fellowship with RACGP/ACRRM or Vocational Registration

- Minimum 2 years full-time post-qualification GP experience within a private practice/outpatient setting

- Evidence of recent participation in CPD and a current CPR Certificate

- Autonomous, supportive and collaborative, with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
