Deliver high quality holistic medical care to over 550 ADF personnel based in RAAF Tindal, just 18 km south (or 15 mins drive) from the township of Katherine.

  • Multidisciplinary team: Dental, Physio, Mental Health, Nursing, Pharmacy
  • Choice of full/part time hours between 0730-1545 hrs Monday-Friday
  • No evenings, nights, weekends or on-call and no Medicare admin!

About The Role

- Delivering high quality outpatient and inpatient medical care, focusing on areas such as Men’s & Women’s Health, Mental Health, Sexual Health, Rehabilitation and performing Minor Surgical Procedures

- Conducting aviation medical checks, assessing fitness to fly, and ongoing health management of air crew (Aviation Medicine training provided)

- Responding to medical emergencies as required and referring patients on to other onsite services or externally for Specialist Care, Optical, Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology, Pathology and/or Occupational Rehab services

- Providing medical advice to Unit Commanders and Health Centre Managers, and updating/maintaining patient records on the online health platform

About The Location

RAAF Tindal is an Air Force base located 18 km (15 mins drive) outside of Katherine, NT with a dependency of approximately 550-580 ADF personnel, surging regularly throughout the year for major Air Force exercises. The Tindal Health Centre standard operating hours are 0730-1545, Monday-Friday and provides GP, Dental, Mental Health, Nursing, Occupational Rehabilitation, Pharmacy and Physiotherapy services and operates a 10-bed inpatient day ward.

About You

- Holds full General Registration with AHPRA, and Fellowship with RACGP/ACRRM or Vocational Registration

- Minimum 2 years full-time post-qualification GP experience within a private practice/outpatient setting

- Evidence of recent participation in CPD and a current CPR Certificate

- Autonomous, supportive and collaborative, with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
