The Practice

As part of a large regional health network, the clinic has purpose-built facilities that offer a comprehensive range of medical services. You will be part of an exciting health service provider, rurally based and fully equipped with three consulting rooms, an emergency room, designated treatment area and an exclusive space for nurse consultations. You will be seeing 18-22 patients per day, work with 2 resident GPs plus have an extensive support from a dynamic team of allied health professionals as well as nurses and admin staff.

The practice is open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:30pm, no evening shifts required but you will be part of a Saturday morning 9-week rotation roster. This practice boasts in a wide variety of specialist services including Community Mental Health, Mobile Surgical Services, Laboratory Services, Ambulance, and Emergency. Be immersed in several community initiatives and collaboration in rural health clinical care.

Essential Criteria

In order to be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand, you must either have practised in a comparable health system for at least 33 months (for at least 30 hours per week) of the 48 months prior to application OR have a primary medical degree from the UK or Ireland and have completed your internship within the UK or Ireland.
