The Position

There are a number of facilities within the region and a patient cohort that represents some of the challenges and case mix diversities that you may not have encountered in previous roles.
You will provide specialist psychiatric knowledge and skills to deliver quality mental healthcare to patients within the health service while providing professional leadership. In addition, you will provide, training education and supervision to medical staff and work closely within a multidisciplinary team.
In return you will receive a base salary with attractive allowances including regional and rural attraction allowance, motor vehicle allowance, generous super contribution, and professional development allowance.

Specialist outreach patient services are managed by this hospital as well as accident & emergency, general medical, cardiac, obstetrics and gynaecology, mental health, allied health, paediatrics and sub-acute care.

Essential Criteria
Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP- or equivalent) and current registration or eligibility for registration with the Australian Medical Board.
Experience in Addictions psychiatry highly desirable.
