The Position

Multiple opportunities are available for consultant psychiatrists to join a dynamic area mental health service striving to provide the highest standards of treatment in the Ballarat region. You will be joining multidisciplinary teams, providing quality health care to regional and rural communities. You will be responsible for the clinical leadership of the team and work closely with other senior members of the clinical leadership team to plan, deliver and evaluate services and programs to meet the needs of patients and their families.

The regional area mental health service brings together hospital and health services in Ballarat and surrounding areas to deliver safe and sustainable healthcare tailored to the community needs, for the long term. The health service provides acute, maternity, mental health, allied health, aged care, administration, and support services to the surrounding rural and regional communities.

Essential Criteria

To be registered with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) and hold FRANZCP or equivalent comparable qualifications in Psychiatry.
