The Position
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to establish your private outpatient practice, with further opportunities available to work within a Liaison Psychiatry service which operates within 7 Private Hospitals across Victoria. You will have the workload and systems in place to start billing right away. Due to growth the practice is expanding and opening a new clinic in a popular eastern suburb of Melbourne. Over the past 10 years this service has been building relationships with doctors and the hospitals they work with, allowing you to reap the benefits of fantastic working relations and a strong referral base. Whether you are looking to pick up one session or five, the practice can accommodate your preferences. The clinic would support all special interests and would be particularly keen to hear from doctors working in Adult ADHD.
The Clinic
This is a chance to join a soon to open clinic in Melbourne’s east. The practice has established clinics in four locations in Melbourne and on the Mornington Peninsula, providing mental health care services to individuals of all ages on a one-off or ongoing basis. Areas of expertise include chronic pain, personality disorders, alcohol use disorders, psychometric assessment, women’s mental health, complex mood and anxiety disorders, bipolar, schizophrenia and other sever psychiatric illnesses, eating disorders, stress, grief and bereavement as well as mental health nutrition. The team consists of Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Mental Health Nurses, Dieticians, Somatic Psychotherapists and administration staff and are committed to collaboration - this is what sets it apart from other service providers and clinics.
The Location
You will have the opportunity to provide your expertise to patients within Melbourne or in surrounding regions including beautiful coastal and peninsula locations. There is plenty to explore within the vibrant CBD of Melbourne or in the local region including historic seaside villages, award-winning eateries, renowned wineries, magnificent cliff top golf courses, pristine national parks, hot springs or head to the nearby coast for a day of surfing or scuba diving.
Essential Criteria
You must hold FRANZCP and Specialist registration with AHPRA. The locations are DWS and doctors who are working under the 10 year moratorium are encouraged to express their interest.
