About The Role

- Delivering holistic primary health care in an outpatient setting, with a strong focus on Occupational Medicine and Men’s & Women’s Health including Sexual Health and Mental Health

- Educating and supporting patients, promoting wellness and healthy living, and assessing fitness to return to training

- Providing medical advice to relevant Unit Commanders and Health Centre Managers, and updating/maintaining accurate patient records on the online health platform

- Responding to medical emergencies and referring patients on to other Medical Specialists and Allied Health services as required

About The Location

Located in Forest Hill (13 mins drive from Wagga Wagga), RAAF Wagga is known as the ‘Home of the Airman’ responsible for delivering Air Force Recruit training, as well as technical and non-technical Initial & Post Employment training to Air Force members. With approximately 1,600 personnel on-base, the Wagga Health Centre provides a range of primary care services including General Medical, Dental, Nursing, Mental Health & Psychology, Physiotherapy and Pharmacy, operating Monday-Friday from 0700-1600 hrs.

About You

- FRACGP/FACRRM or Vocational Registration + full AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner

- Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience as a GP in a private practice/outpatient setting

- Current CPR Certificate and evidence of ongoing participation in Continuous Professional Development activities

- Self-starter who is able to work autonomously and as part of a team, with strong organisational and prioritisation, along with superior communication, relationship and influencing skills
