The Position

Step into a leadership role as a Rehabilitation Psychiatrist in a permanent, full-time capacity with one of Queensland’s most forward-thinking mental health services. This position delivers advanced clinical care to individuals experiencing complex psychiatric, emotional, or behavioural challenges.

Specialising in Rehabilitation Mental Health Services, the role places high value on forensic psychiatry expertise. You’ll work within a skilled multidisciplinary team, shaping recovery-focused care plans and guiding holistic treatment approaches. From direct clinical intervention and comprehensive risk assessments to family liaison and inter-agency collaboration, your work will be pivotal to long-term recovery outcomes.

You’ll participate in after-hours rosters, pursue ECT accreditation, and apply contemporary assessment tools to support individuals with diverse needs—including those with intellectual disability, forensic complexity, or substance use issues. You’ll be supported by a collaborative clinical leadership structure and a progressive mental health service group.
