The Position
A leading healthcare facility is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Specialist (Otolaryngology) to assist the Director of Surgery in a permanent part-time or full-time opportunity. Responsibilities include clinical assessment, treatment planning, surgical procedures, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, patient education, and participation in quality improvement initiatives, education and supervision of surgical trainees and other medical staff.
The Hospital
The 305-bed hospital serves as the main referral hospital for Central Queensland. Its comprehensive range of services encompasses Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Cancer Services, Cardiology, Renal Care, Palliative Care, Mental Health, Rehabilitation, Geriatric Medicine, Oral Health, Paediatrics, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Urology, ENT, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Intensive Care, and Anaesthesia. =The location= A large, prosperous regional city offering affordable housing and a wide range of attractions including the jewels of the Capricorn Coast. Essential Criteria
Current registration with or/eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
The applicant will hold Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgery (FRACS) in the speciality of Otolaryngology.
