| Conditions: | Yarrabah is an Indigenous community 51 km from Cairns providing 24-hour emergency services. The SMO attends all presentations during rostered hours and supports afterhours emergencies via phone triage or recall as clinically required. Rate, accommodation, and travel details were not provided. DEC 2025 – MAR 2026; Yarrabah Hospital requires an SMO with FACRRM or FRACGP and ED experience for multiple dates across December 2025 to March 2026. Shifts are 0800–1630, with on-call from 1630–0800 when rostered; on-call is shared amongst the 3.2 FTE SMOs. The SMO manages all ED presentations during the day and oversees low-acuity afterhours cases via phone, returning to the department when required for higher acuity presentations. Yarrabah ED provides 24/7 emergency services to a community of 2550 people with varied presentations, telehealth retrieval support, point-of-care testing, and an experienced nursing team. | |||
