Summary
- Brand‑new diagnostic imaging clinic opening this July
- Part‑time role (2 days/week) with opportunity to increase days over time
- Supportive team culture with modern technology and diverse case mix
The Position
This is a part‑time opportunity for a Consultant Radiologist to join a newly established diagnostic imaging clinic as it launches and grows. The role is initially two days per week, with clear scope to pick up additional days over time as demand builds.
You’ll work across a broad mix of modalities including MRI, CT, ultrasound, X‑ray, mammography, CBCT and BMD, supported by fully integrated PACS/RIS systems that allow for efficient workflows and potential flexibility around reporting.
As one of the early radiologists on site, you’ll have the chance to genuinely influence how the service develops — from clinical workflows to mentoring junior staff and student sonographers. This is a hands‑on, collaborative role suited to someone who enjoys contributing to both clinical quality and team culture.
Remuneration is offered at 32% of billings, with flexibility to discuss tailored arrangements over time.
The Practice
This is a brand‑new diagnostic imaging clinic, backed by a well‑established regional imaging provider with a strong reputation for quality care. The service has been designed with both clinicians and patients in mind — modern equipment, efficient digital systems, and a calm, well‑supported working environment.
You’ll be working alongside an experienced and collegial team of sonographers, radiographers and administrative staff. The culture is supportive and low‑hierarchy, with a genuine emphasis on teamwork, open communication and professional respect.
A strong interest in education and mentorship would be highly regarded, with opportunities to support junior clinicians and student sonographers, as well as to shape service offerings as the clinic grows.
The Location
Located in Brisbane’s northern corridor, this area offers an excellent balance of lifestyle and convenience. It’s well connected to the CBD while still providing a more relaxed, suburban feel, with leafy streets, parks and a strong community atmosphere.
The area is popular with professionals and families alike, offering good schools, easy access to major roads and public transport, and proximity to shopping, cafés and everyday amenities. For those relocating, it’s an attractive alternative to inner‑city living without sacrificing access or lifestyle.
Essential Criteria
- Specialist registration with AHPRA & FRANZCR
- NON-DWS location
- Broad general radiology skills, including comfort with interventional work
- A collaborative, team‑focused approach
- Interest in contributing to service development and mentoring junior staff
