The Position

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Staff Specialist Radiologist to join a dedicated cancer screening and prevention team in Tasmania. In this role, you will deliver high-quality specialist in-patient and out-patient radiology services, including diagnostic and breast imaging procedures. You will also provide clinical advice, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor trainees, and participate in research, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Hospital

This role is based in collaboration with a leading tertiary care facility in Tasmania, providing comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services across multiple specialties. The hospital features state-of-the-art medical imaging technology and a highly skilled multidisciplinary team. You will work closely with the Population Screening and Cancer Prevention (PSCP) unit, Tasmania’s authority on cancer screening, which manages breast, bowel, and cervical screening programs. Essential criteria

  • FRANZCR (Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists) or eligibility for fellowship.
  • Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in Radiology.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality diagnostic radiology services.
  • Competency in breast imaging, including biopsy and localisation procedures.
