The Position

This role offers a Senior or Staff Specialist in Geriatric Medicine the chance to provide expert clinical care and leadership across a comprehensive geriatric service. You will focus on contemporary care models for frail older adults, including rapid access frailty services, orthogeriatrics, cognitive and behavioural care, rehabilitation, and virtual services.

You will deliver consultant-led care in the Geriatric Evaluation and Management unit, support multidisciplinary care planning, and contribute to safe patient flow, including participation in an acute general medicine on-call roster.

As a senior clinician, you will engage in teaching, supervision, service development, quality improvement, and clinical governance, with opportunities for regional training and academic contributions.

Eligibility

  • MBBS (or equivalent) with specialist AHPRA registration
  • Fellowship (or eligibility) of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) in Geriatric Medicine
  • Demonstrated expertise in geriatric medicine, including frailty, cognition, rehabilitation and multidisciplinary care.
