The Practice

This established mixed billing teaching practice is seeking a VR GP to join the team due to continued patient demand. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with flexibility depending on supervision and visa sponsorship requirements.

Owned and operated by the GP principal, the practice has built a strong reputation within the local community and offers a genuinely supportive and collaborative working environment. You'll work alongside two experienced senior GPs and a registrar, supported by a highly experienced team including a Practice Manager, Office Manager, Head Nurse, five nurses and five receptionists.

The clinic operates using Best Practice software and is located within a modern purpose-built facility designed by the practice owner with both doctor and patient experience in mind. Facilities include seven consulting rooms, two dedicated procedure rooms, a nursing bay with two treatment beds for services such as iron infusions and IV antibiotics, an emergency bed, nursing office, staff room with kitchen facilities and onsite parking.

A range of allied health services are available onsite, including physiotherapy, exercise physiology, psychology, podiatry, dietetics, pathology and radiology, allowing doctors to deliver truly comprehensive patient care.

Patient demand is exceptionally strong, with approximately 150 patients attending the practice daily. GPs typically see 25-30 patients per day depending on appointment length preferences, and the incoming doctor is expected to be fully booked from their first day. The practice cares for a diverse patient demographic including families, elderly patients, Indigenous patients and workers compensation cases.

Practice hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5pm and Saturday from 8:30am to 10:30am. Doctors generally work between 8am and 6pm depending on their agreed schedule. There are no on-call requirements, providing excellent work-life balance.

The team is seeking a GP who is friendly, approachable and patient-focused, with strong communication skills, a compassionate nature and the drive to build a successful long-term practice.

Essential Criteria

DPA position and visa sponsorship available.

Eligible candidates include AHPRA ESP and RACGP PEP Specialist Pathway eligible international candidates (substantially comparable), and GPs holding Specialist Registration with AHPRA.
