| Conditions: | There are 3 x AH JMO’s who are rostered until 2200, there will be a formal handover to the ward night cover doctor (locum) from the 3 x JMO’s where the JMO will be responsible for covering all AH jobs overnight (clinical reviews, rapid responses, cannula requests etc) for the whole hospital until morning handover. Overnight staffing: ICU: SRMO and RMO ED: 2 x Reg/RMO/Intern Medical: Med Reg Surgery: SRMO Paeds: Registrar All other specialties have on call. Handover from evening staff to night Doctor is at 2130, expected to go to that. Attend all clinical reviews, rapid responses, code blues, code blacks. Attend to all outstanding jobs on census task list from the evening/day and all jobs that come about over night on the census task list. ICU covers CCU so they don’t need to worry about that ward unless they see that jobs aren’t being done or jobs are time critical and ICU is super busy. Then the ward person helps out as a courtesy but technically it isn’t their responsibility. There are ICU doctors and a med reg on site who can help out and surg is on call. Overnight we usually operate as a team and try to support each other and have good chat. | |||
