The Position

An exciting opportunity is available for a Consultant in General Medicine to join a dedicated and collaborative medical team within a progressive regional health service in New South Wales. In this role, you will provide contemporary, comprehensive specialist services to achieve optimal patient outcomes while contributing to the education and supervision of junior clinicians across multiple disciplines. You will work closely with other medical specialists and allied health professionals to deliver integrated, patient-centred care, supporting the organisation’s commitment to safety, quality and clinical excellence. The role also involves participating in teaching, training, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives, utilising health information systems and data to support informed clinical decision-making and care planning and contributing to risk management and organisational improvement programs.

Essential criteria

• MBBS or equivalent and registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Fellowship (or eligibility for Fellowship) with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in General Medicine.
• Demonstrated experience in General Medicine at the appropriate level of service.
