| Conditions: | A locum GP is required for this community health service whilst they recruit for a permanent GP. The hours of work are Monday Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm with an hour for lunch. The patient load will be varied and booked in 15-minute appointments, with Best Practice software in use. In terms of support, there will be a practice nurse on site 3 days a week, Allied Health team on site, 1 day per fortnight with a visiting diabetes educator, 1 day per fortnight for x-rays on site (urgent x-rays can be taken by trained RN’s), 1 day per fortnight visiting midwife offering antenatal clinic, 3 days per month with a visiting RFDS women’s health doctor plus local mental health support for clients needing access (per fortnight on site). $1600 is paid per day worked and travel, meals and a 2 bedroom full furnished unit is available. Set on the edge of the Mallee region, Ouyen offers striking desert landscapes, big open skies, and easy access to national parks ideal for bushwalking and wildlife spotting.
