The Position
A Staff Specialist / Senior Staff Specialist position is available within a comprehensive forensic mental health service providing care across secure inpatient, correctional and youth justice settings.
You will work as part of an experienced multidisciplinary team delivering specialist psychiatric assessment, treatment and ongoing management for patients with complex mental health needs. The role offers exposure to a diverse forensic caseload and opportunities to contribute to teaching, research, clinical governance and service development initiatives.
Strong academic partnerships with leading universities support research activity and may provide opportunities for conjoint academic appointments for suitably qualified candidates.
A remuneration package valued between $395,000 and $530,000 is available, including incentives and allowances, together with relocation support of up to $55,000, salary packaging benefits, professional development support and visa sponsorship for eligible applicants.

Essential Criteria
Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) with appropriate forensic psychiatry qualifications, or equivalent specialist recognition.
Specialist registration, or eligibility for specialist registration, with AHPRA.
Demonstrated expertise in forensic psychiatry and the management of complex mental health presentations.
Commitment to multidisciplinary care, teaching and clinical excellence.
