The Position
A fantastic opportunity to advance your psychiatry career across CAMHS (0–18 years) or Adult Mental Health (18–65 years). These roles offer the opportunity to provide high‑quality psychiatric care, support multidisciplinary colleagues and contribute to the ongoing development of accessible, person‑centred mental health services.
Consultant Psychiatrist – CAMHS (0–18 years)
Provide assessment and treatment for infants, children, and adolescents with complex mental health needs. Lead clinical reviews and decision‑making within the CAMHS team. Offer guidance to families, schools, and youth‑focused support services. Support implementation of child and adolescent mental health reform initiatives and evidence-based models of care.
Consultant Psychiatrist – Adult Mental Health (18–65 years)
Deliver assessment, treatment, and ongoing management for adults presenting with a range of mental health conditions. Provide senior clinical input into adult case reviews and complex care planning, while strengthening partnerships with GPs, community services, and adult-focused support networks.
Key Responsibilities (Both Roles)
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, formulation, and treatment within a community setting.
- Offer clinical leadership and specialist consultation to multidisciplinary teams.
- Support GPs, health professionals, and community agencies with expert advice.
- Contribute to service improvement, care coordination, and best‑practice clinical pathways.
- Ensure compliance with relevant mental health legislation, policies, and clinical standards.
- Participate in case reviews, clinical governance activities, and collaborative care planning.

Essential criteria
- be eligible for registration by the Medical Board of Australia.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or equivalent.
- Substantial clinical experience in CAMHS or Adult Psychiatry.
- UK/Ireland candidates may be eligible via the Expedited Specialist Pathway (MRCPsych + CCT/CCST and AMC primary source verification).
