The Position 

Join a well-established metropolitan mental health service as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult Psychiatry, where your contribution will be central to delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care. You’ll lead comprehensive assessments, develop tailored treatment plans, and uphold best‑practice documentation standards, all while working within a professional and compassionate multidisciplinary team.

Beyond core clinical responsibilities, the role offers meaningful scope to expand your influence—participating in the on‑call roster, contributing to research activity, supporting clinical governance, and driving quality and safety initiatives.

You’ll also play a key role in the development of junior clinicians, fostering learning across the team and modelling ethical leadership. Your input into departmental meetings, service planning and development programs will help shape the ongoing growth of the service.

Essential Criteria 

Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia via the Specialist Pathway (Substantially Comparable) or Expedited Specialist Pathway.
