The Position

An excellent opportunity exists for a skilled and motivated Anaesthetics Consultant to join a supportive multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will provide contemporary, comprehensive anaesthetic services to ensure optimal patient outcomes and contribute to education and supervision across multiple disciplines to promote safe clinical practice. You will participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and departmental activities, including the on-call roster. The role involves active teaching and mentorship of junior medical staff, compliance with relevant health policies and procedures and engagement in risk management and service development initiatives.

Essential criteria

• Possession of a medical degree from a recognised tertiary institution and current registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia in Anaesthesia, or eligibility for such registration.
• Fellowship or eligibility for Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA).
