You will show a strong interest in the future of the department as well as actively taking part in the teaching of students and other doctors. The opportunity will see you mainly working with Category 2, 3 and 4 presentations with 15% being Paediatric cases. The Hospital This private hospital is the largest not-for-profit service in regional Victoria. It consists of 200 beds and provides services such as acute medical and surgical, obstetrics and inpatient rehab. The ICU / HDU is currently level 1, looking to transition to level 2 over the next few years. The Emergency department itself sees approximately 14,000 patients annually and consists of 13 acute treatment bays with a 10 bed short stay unit soon to be built adjacent. == The Location == Situated 1.5 hours from Melbourne?s CBD and seen as an affordable alternative, this city has experienced rapid growth and currently has a population of over 95,000 people.
