You will commence in one Emergency Department for an initial three months and may potentially rotate to another site as required. This is a six-month contract with the opportunity to extend to 18-months if desired. The Hospital The Emergency Department itself sees 77,000 presentations per year with a 25% paediatric case-load. The department is the busiest in acuity in Melbourne and you will gain exposure to a variety of trauma cases. While this hospital does not provide all specialties in house, the service does attend to all cases and can transfer out if required. == The Location == This is an ideal location in coastal Victoria, a mere 40kms south of Melbourne. With easy freeway access, you will be working less than an hour?s drive from Melbourne?s vibrant CBD. This region offers the best beaches as well as beautiful parks and gardens and endless weekend activities for both the summer and winter, water or land based.
