The Position
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Consultant Gastroenterologist to join a high-performing regional health service, providing specialist care across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings. General Medicine experience is essential, as the role includes participation in the General Medicine night roster, including acting as nights in charge of medical patients. In this role, you’ll also supervise junior medical staff, contribute to registrar training and education programs, and take part in clinical governance, quality improvement, and multidisciplinary teaching. You'll support service delivery across the main hospital and outreach clinics, ensuring care meets clinical standards and best practice. Essential criteria
- Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist, and/or through an overseas-trained specialist pathway.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide clinical leadership.
- General Medicine experience essential.
