The Position
A well-supported health service is seeking a dedicated Anatomical Pathologist to join its growing anatomical pathology team. This is a key opportunity to contribute to a high-performing department known for excellent turnaround times, strong scientific support, and a diverse case mix, including public and private referrals. The department offers a newly refurbished laboratory space, trained scientists in complex specimen dissection, and access to a well-developed training program with pathology registrars and medical students. As a regional hub, the service also plays a key role in screening programs, on-site frozen sections, and FNA procedures in collaboration with radiology teams. You’ll participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, supervise trainees, and benefit from established referral links to tertiary centres for complex diagnostics and molecular testing.
The Location
Enjoy the lifestyle benefits of working in a vibrant coastal community, surrounded by pristine beaches, national parks, and a thriving arts and food culture. This destination offers a relaxed pace of life without sacrificing access to quality education, comprehensive healthcare, and diverse cultural amenities. The local health service is a modern, well-equipped facility that serves as a regional hub, providing comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services to a wide and diverse population. The health campus features recently expanded facilities, including purpose-built pathology laboratories, and is a key teaching site for medicine, nursing, and allied health disciplines. This supportive clinical environment fosters collaboration and professional development.
