The Practice

This is a modern, largely private-billing GP-led clinic where GPs enjoy full clinical autonomy and control over their schedules, patient volume and billing preferences. Privately owned and operated, the clinic offers a supportive, non-corporate environment.

You’ll be working alongside a close-knit team that includes two experienced GPs, a practice nurse, a nurse manager, a dedicated receptionist and a hands-on practice manager. The facility includes three fully equipped consulting rooms and a treatment room. An on-site dietitian and access to local allied health providers enhance patient care. A pharmacy is located next door, and off-site parking is available.

Enjoy true work-life balance with family-friendly hours - the clinic operates Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm, with no weekends, on-call, or after-hours work requirements. New GPs can expect to establish a full patient load within just 1–2 months.

This practice is situated in a peaceful, family-friendly suburb near the shores of Lake Macquarie, just a short drive from Newcastle’s vibrant city centre. The area offers a relaxed lifestyle with access to excellent schools, scenic lakeside walks, water activities, and a variety of local amenities.

With affordable housing, a welcoming community, and proximity to both the coast and Newcastle Airport, Boolaroo is ideal for GPs seeking a coastal tree-change. While public transport options are limited, a driver’s licence is recommended. GPs joining the practice from overseas are supported with two weeks of accommodation and a vehicle to ease their transition.

AHPRA ESP, RACGP PEP-Specialist Pathway eligible international candidates (substantially comparable) and GPs holding Specialist Registration with AHPRA are eligible for this role.
