The Position
An exceptional leadership opportunity waits for a Director of Acute Mental Health within a prominent metropolitan health district’s Mental Health Service. This pivotal role, reporting directly to the Executive Medical Director, plays a central part in shaping a culture of clinical excellence, recovery-focused care, and continuous improvement across adult inpatient services. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will provide expert psychiatric care, lead a skilled medical workforce, and champion quality, governance, and education within a complex, multidisciplinary environment.
Your influence will extend beyond clinical duties, partnering closely with executive leadership to drive strategic planning, workforce development, and accreditation standards. Leading across multiple acute inpatient units, you will foster collaborative networks that enhance patient flow and optimize outcomes, while embedding person-centred, evidence-based care at every touchpoint.
