The Position

Join a dynamic team and take on an exciting clinical leadership role within a major Brisbane hospital's comprehensive crisis services. This position offers the opportunity to provide expert guidance across a range of vital teams, including acute care, crisis stabilization, co-responders, rapid responders, safe space initiatives, and consultation liaison services. Reporting directly to the Clinical Director, you will collaborate closely with operational and clinical leadership to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of care. You will also contribute to operational and financial governance, provide essential supervision and teaching to medical professionals at all levels, and have the chance to engage in research supported by an embedded academic psychiatrist. This role includes participation in the on-call and ECT rosters and offers the potential to provide cover for the Clinical Director.

Essential criteria

  • Medical qualification (MBBS or equivalent) and specialist registration (or eligibility) with the Medical Board of Australia in Psychiatry
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry or equivalent
