The Position

Are you a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist looking for a fulfilling full-time opportunity where you can truly make a difference? We have the perfect role for you in a cutting-edge Mental Health unit within a respected regional health network. Based in South Australia, you'll be part of a dynamic Consultant Psychiatry Team, working alongside mental health consumers, their families, carers, community organizations, and external service providers to enhance mental health care across the region.

Reporting to the Clinical Director, you’ll provide clinical leadership and collaborate with a dedicated team to drive positive change in mental health services across the region.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the design, planning, and implementation of local mental health service networks to ensure high-quality, patient-centred care.
• Champion the improvement of clinical outcomes and functional recovery objectives through strong leadership and collaboration.
• Spearhead the analysis and implementation of best practices, clinical processes, systems, and evidence-based medicine.
• Ensure the delivery of cost-effective, top-tier clinical services by consulting with clinicians, GPs, and other service providers.
• Contribute to the education and training of undergraduates and postgraduates, shaping the next generation of mental health professionals.
• Work across a variety of sites within the regional Local Health Network Mental Health service, ensuring comprehensive care.

The Mental Health Inpatient Unit in this regional area provides specialised, acute care for individuals experiencing mental health crises.
